Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez is set to join AC Milan after agreeing personal terms with the club.

 channel revealed the news with a message welcoming the keeper on Saturday morning.

The Serie A side's CEO and vice-president, Adriano Galliani, also confirmed the news to fans on Saturday.

"Diego Lopez to Milan is a done deal at 99%," he is quoted as saying by Italian publication Gazetta dello Sport.

Lopez is expected to undergo a medical on Monday before signing a four-year contract with the San Siro outfit in a deal that will see the 32-year-old earn about €2.5million per season.

The transfer comes just days after the Spaniard - who was also being tracked by Napoli and Liverpool - reportedly told Real directors that he believed he was the best goalkeeper currently at the club.

Lopez arrived at Real midway through the 2012/13 season from Sevilla after being signed by the side's former coach, Jose Mourinho, when first-choice keeper Iker Casillas suffered an injury.

The 32-year-old held onto his place in between the posts for for the rest of the campaign, despite Casillas recovering from his injury, before Lopez shared the responsibilities with the club captain last season.

Lopez then rejected a move to Ligue 1 outfit Monaco last summer to stay in Madrid and fight for his place but, following the arrival of Costa Rica star Keylor Navas from Levante this summer, Lopez has been forced to move on.

Lopez came up through Madrid's youth system but joined Villarreal in 2007 - where he was named the best new goalkeeper one year later - before moving to Sevilla in 2012

Manchester United make €10m move for De Jong

Old Trafford executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has held meetings with the AC Milan midfielder's representatives, with the Dutchman keen to work under Louis van Gaal again

Manchester United have made the first move in a bid to sign Netherlands INTERNATIONAL Nigel de Jong in a €10 million deal, Goal understands.

Having already brought Ander Herrera to the club this summer, manager Louis van Gaal made it clear to United officials that he is happy to work with what he has in the midfield area - at least until his no.1 target, Kevin Strootman, fully recovers from a serious knee injury.

But executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has been working tirelessly behind the scenes in a bid to strengthen the Dutchman's options and, having identified De Jong as a potential recruit, met with the Milan midfielder's representatives in London on Tuesday.

Those talks are understood to have gone well, with De Jong desperate to link up with Van Gaal.

The Dutchman could now become United's third major summer signing, following on from the arrivals of Herrera and Luke SHAW.

And Van Gaal is understood to have given the move the green light, having worked well with De Jong in his former role as Netherlands coach and in particular at this summer's World Cup.

The 29-year-old was forced out of the second round victory over Mexico early on with a groin problem, but made a remarkable return from injury for the semi-final defeat to Argentina and was singled out for praise by Van Gaal for his contribution during the group stages.

"I don't like singling out players, but Nigel de Jong was inspirational," Van Gaal said after the 3-2 victory over Australia.

United's move for De Jong comes on the back of a prolonged and thus far unsuccessful pursuit of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.

Despite the player and Juventus both going on record to insist a deal with United would not happen, reports of a move continue apace.

The arrival of De Jong, however, would appear to put those links to bed - if a deal can now be successfully concluded with Milan

Bayern have turned down 'several' enquiries for Shaqiri - Rummenigge

Bayern Munich have rejected "several enquiries" from sides in England and Italy for attacking midfielderXherdan Shaqiri, according to chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The Switzerland star made just 10 starts in the BUNDESLIGA for Bayern last season, though he still netted six goals and went on to become the standout performer for his country at the World Cup this summer.

Shaqiri has been heavily linked with a possible move to Liverpool, with Serie A giants Juventus and Roma also rumoured to be considering a bid for the 22-year-old.

Rummenigge has confirmed there has been significant interest in the player but insists he remains a valued part of Pep Guardiola's first-team plans.

"We've had several enquiries from teams in England and Italy. I've never had a conversation because we are convinced he will have a good CAREER with us. He must stay healthy, [but] the coach is convinced by him," he told the club's official website.

Bayern are set to complete a deal for goalkeeper Pepe Reina in the coming days but Rummenigge suggested there would not be a large number of arrivals this summer.

"We have a good team. Pep wants 18 top players and five or six talents. He is very happy with his squad, he does not want unhappy players sitting in the stands," he said.

Borussia Dortmund became incensed by Rummenigge's public talk of Marco Reus' buyout clause after the winger was linked with a switch to the Allianz Arena.

The 58-year-old believes the two clubs retain a large amount of respect for each other, as proven by the mentality within Germany's World Cup-winning squad.

"A friendship seems to have sprung up between the players at the World Cup. This is a good thing," he added.

"We are competitors, both clubs want to fight for the championship, but we have respect for each other, no question."

Official: Osvaldo joins Inter as Taider moves to Southampton

The Italy international will spend next term back in Serie A after his stint with Juventus earlier this year, with the Algeria international set for the Premier League

Osvaldo, who spent the latter half of last season with Juventus, has long been expected to join Walter Mazzarri's side as the Nerazzurri look to bolster their attacking options.

The Italy international has now sealed a switch to San Siro for the 2014-15 campaign, with the club retaining the option to make the move permanent in future.

Taider, meanwhile, becomes Southampton's fourth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Ryan Bertrand, Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic as Ronald Koeman continues to rebuild his squad in the wake of a number of sales.

Calum Chambers, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana have all left the club this summer but Koeman is pressing ahead with reshaping his squad, with Taider joining on the back of a successful World Cup with Algeria. 

"It's part of our philosophy for the club to bring in talented young players who like to learn and develop themselves, and that's true of Saphir," Koeman told the club's official website. "First of all, he is a talented football player. He's 22 and has already played for Algeria at the World Cup.

"I've spoken to him about the positions he can play in, and it was a good meeting because he showed me real ambition."
