GAMBOA JOINS WEST BROM

It’s a three-year deal for Cristian Gamboa at West Brom. The 24-year-old joins for an undisclosed fee from Rosenborg and will wear the No.16 shirt. Baggies head coach Alan Irvine told the club’s official website: "Cristian is a player I was extremely impressed by during the World Cup. We faced stiff competition from other Premier League clubs for his services but we've managed to convince Cristian that West Bromwich Albion is the best club for him to join."

MILINKOVIC JOINS MAN UTD

FK Vojvodina president Zoran Scepanovic said at a press conference:"After lengthy talks that have taken place over the past month, we have finally completed negotiations on Monday and we can officially inform the public that our young and promising goalkeeper has joined Manchester United.

"He will remain in Vojvodina for the next year, where he will be under the supervision of our experts and coaches from the English football giants, while continuing to train and perform in the jersey of his home club. This is an opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the realisation of this transfer. Can I point out Manchester United's very correct attitude."

DONE DEAL - MAN UTD SIGN MILINKOVIC

Manchester United have completed the signing of GIGANTIC goalkeeperVanja Milinkovic from FK Vojvodina. The deal was initially agreed in May and has been finalised today by the Serbian club. And that, I'm afraid, is all anybody knows about the guy... apart from that he's not 18 for another six months and is already 6ft 7in tall! BEAST.

DONE DEAL - CARDOZO JOINS TRABZONSPOR

Oscar Cardozo - the man mountain himself - has ended a prolific seven-year spell at Benfica to join Turkish club Trabzonspor. The 31-year-old moves for €5 million (£3.97m) and is reported to have signed a four-year deal. He won the Portuguese Primeira Liga twice during his time at Benfica but, most importantly, his Wikipedia page states that he was in the Goal Team of the Year in 2010. He's officially made it!

Baggies head coach Alan Irvine told the club’s official website: "I’m delighted we’ve been able to complete a deal for Jason. He had a fantastic World Cup when he performed very well against three top teams. Harry Redknapp will have one final stab at convincing Loic Remy and Adel Taarabt to stay at QPR, according to the Daily Mirror. The attackers spent last season on loan at Newcastle and AC Milan respectively, and Remy looked set to join Liverpool before he failed a medical. But with the start of the new season approaching, Redknapp is reportedly ready to attempt to persuade them to remain at Loftus Road.

PEP: NO BARCA MOVE FOR BOATENG

Bayern Munich will not sell Jerome Boateng to Barcelona, Pep Guardiolahas insisted. Marca had suggested the coach's old club could move for the World Cup winner, but Guardiola says he is an important part of his plans. "I don't usually say anything about things I read in the newspaper, but I am planning 100 per cent with [Boateng] here," he told reporters at a press conference in the United States.

Manchester City have reportedly netted more than £10 million for Jack Rodwell - probably a loss on their initial investment, but not a bad return at all for someone who has played very little football over the past couple of years. Their squad is looking nicely streamlined, with Fernando, Bacary Sagna andWilly Caballero signed and Eliaquim Mangala set to follow.

LUIZ GUSTAVO TO REAL MADRID?

Real Madrid have quite enough midfielders, don't you think? Well, according to the Daily Express, the Champions League holders are looking at signing one more - Wolfsburg's Luiz Gustavo - if Sami Khedira leaves this summer. The Brazilian has a release clause of £26 million.

CAN LIVERPOOL COPE WITHOUT SUAREZ?

Glen Johnson reckons so. The Liverpool right-back says the club showed last season that they're perfectly capable of getting results when they're unable to call upon Luis Suarez. Johnson told Sky Sports News: "It gets overlooked that we played the first six games of last season without Luis and made a fantastic start, so we can clearly win without Luis."
