But they will only push on and take their interest further if a late swoop to sign De Jong fails.

Torres seeks Chelsea severance

FOOTBALL-ITALIA

It’s reported Milan have agreed a two-year contract with Fernando Torres, who now must secure a Chelsea severance package.
The striker’s agents met with the Rossoneri this afternoon and Antonio Sanztold MilanNews.it “the meeting went well. Torres to Milan is a real possibility.”
Up until now the situation had been a loan with option to buy, but that appears to have changed.
According to several different sources, including Sky Sport Italia and LaGazzetta dello Sport, Milan have agreed a two-year contract with Torres.
He now needs to negotiate a severance package with Chelsea, terminating his contract with them by mutual consent.
The Spaniard’s current deal expires with Chelsea in June 2016.
This is why the agents are flying back to London for negotiations with the Stamford Bridge club.

MAN UTD WILLING TO SEND KAGAWA TO JUVENTUS IN VIDAL SWAP

as_kagawa

Manchester United are weighing up using Shinji Kagawa as a makeweight in their deal for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.
The Independent says Kagawa, whom manager Louis van Gaal pointedly declared at the weekend had been incapable of operating in a new designated central position, could possibly be used to secure a breakthrough, with the £32m the Turin side are likely to want seemingly unrealistic.
With AC Milan's Nigel de Jong not on United's list, Vidal appears to be Van Gaal's only option, though the Ajax player Daley Blind - another possible 11th-hour target - can also operate in midfield.
Kagawa is also a target for Peter Lim's Valencia this week.

But there is also a bonus element worked to the contract that will see him rewarded if he reaches certain targets and does not step out of line.

Italian international striker Mario Balotelli is close
to signing a deal with Liverpool to rejoin the English Premier League
after one and a half season at AC Milan.
"A negotiation is ongoing for Balotelli," the Serie A club said
Thursday, adding that "about 50 Rossoneri fans stood outside the
Milanello camp to meet him."

with the Rossoneri.
Milan and Liverpool are said to be discussing a transfer fee of 20

Liverpool began looking for a striker after selling Uruguayan ace
Luis Suarez to Barcelona in July for a reported fee of 94 million
euros.

BREAKING NEWS: Robinho joins Santos on loan

Santos have confirmed a loan deal for AC Milan winger Robinho until June 30, 2015, ending months of speculation over his future.

The former Brazil international made 23 appearances in Serie A last season but was deemed surplus to requirements by new coach Pippo Inzaghi.

Consequently, after protracted negotiations over a return to Vila Belmiro, Robinho has now been cleared to rejoin the club at which he started his career.

"Santos is my home," he told the Brazil club's official website. "It's a place in which I feel really good. I hope to repay all of the fans' affection on the field."

Robinho joined Milan from Manchester City on a four-year deal in the summer of 2010 for a reported €18 million transfer fee.

Despite an impressive debut season at San Siro in which he scored 14 Serie A goals, he struggled for both form and fitness in the coming seasons and it came as a surprise when he signed a contract extension last summer binding him to the Rossoneri until 2016.

However, Robinho has been linked with a return to Santos all summer long and the 30-year-old attacker has finally put pen to paper on a one-year loan agreement with the Brazilian outfit.
